Here’s a new twist on a card…. a pizza card! When I saw the Supremely Awesome stamp set in the 2023-24 annual Stampin’ Up! catalog, I knew I had to have it! Pizza is a staple in our household and made by our own pizza baker, my hubby, Art.
Here are the measurements for cardstock to create this card:
- Basic Black Base cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2 inches. Scored on the 8 1/2″ side in the middle at 4 1/4″ then folded in half
- Real Red layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic White (x2): 3 3/4″ x 5″ (this is for the top layer plus inside of the card)
- 3″ circle die: cut 1 each of real red, basic white, and garden green
- Scrap white to stamp your “pizza baker” on
Using 1 of the white layers, stamp the tiles using the black memento on the top and bottom of the cardstock. Next, stamp your sentiment.
To create the circle behind the pizza baker, fold your white and red circles in thirds. Use the garden green as a base then cut the white and red thirds out. You’ll use the middle of the white circle only and the left hand side of the red circle only to create your three colored circle. When placing it on the card, make sure it’s in order of red, white green (like the Italian flag).
Next, stamp your pizza baker with black memento and color with the petal pink blends markers and real red blends markers. The pizza is colored with dark crumb cake along the crust, light crumb cake for the cheese, and dark real red for the pepperoni.
After you’re all done coloring, fussy cut your image with your paper snips and adhere onto the Italian circle.
I had a bit of fun with the inside of the card. I stamped the black tiles again and then stamped a pizza slice.
Product ListI also have a sneak peek at Halloween inspired products from the catalog that’s scheduled to release September 6. Take a look at the glowing images!
Don’t forget to check out the many in-person workshops I have scheduled from now until the end of the year….
